Stephanie brings many years of both personal and professioinal training, education, and experience to her pratice with individuals, families, and groups. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree (Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario) and a Master of Social Work degree (University of Toronto). Stephanie is a Registered Clinical Social Worker with the BC College of Social Work.
She is one of the first social workers in Canada to achieve the Clinical Designation. Stephanie is a member in good standing with the BC Association of Social Workers, The Canadian Association of Social Workers and The BC Psychogeriatric Association.
Prior to establishing a private practice in the Nanaimo community, Stephanie worked as a clinical social worker in many public settings with adults, children and youth. She has worked in several community based agencies, elementary/high schools, hospitals (both medical and adult psychiatric), and in public sector agencies involved with family service/protection and child and youth mental health.
As a parent of six, Stephanie has a sound understanding of the challenges faced today by families and individuals, as they strive to regain and maintain A Measure Of Health and well being. To provide effective and life enhancing support to clients, she has pursued specialized training in a variety of effective, client centered approaches to assessment and treatment, resulting in their improved well-being and resolution. |
